Default just got back from LOTR

hmmmm.....the movie started at 8:00, ended at 11:30 :thinking:

my eyes are dry and hurt now cause i wear contacts and i had to sit there for almost 4 hours watching the movie.

HOLY MOLY THAT MOVIE WAS LOOOOONG!!! there were scenes that you'd think be good enough to end the movie right thurr but whadayaknow it drags on for another 30mins i swear i stood up like three times thinking the movie was over h:

:chuckles: My ex said the same thing. I, though, didn't even realize how long it was until I looked at my watch when it was over...

I was riveted, personally... but I think it's more that I'm a goob that likes the LOTR books

I liked it.

I just saw it today too and if you know anything about the books you would know that it could have been dragged out even longer than that and it skipped a few things or skimmed over them just to make it fit the 3 hour mark.

I gove much props to Peter Jackson for doing it the way he did and for finishing the story closer to the book than most movies have.

BTW funny little side note my roomate brought out....the trilogy took 18 months to be finished....Frodos journey in the books also took 18 months.

I loved the books, but I couldn't stand it when something suspenseful was gonna happen, and the characters would break out in some epic song that was like 3 pages long...

a lot of the scenes were very moving

The uncut version of ROTK is over 4 hours long.
