Default does this stuff work?

I have a stock exhaust thats got a hole in the muffler. I have yet to see how big the whole is, but lets assume its the size of a dime. I want to get a new exhaust, but that wont be til spring time, so in the meantime, can I use this exhaust patching? I just want my car to be quiet for right now.

A patch will be fine. It's basically like a temporary (or sometimes permanent) bandaid.

yeah, but I'm wondering if I need to get like a 1" x 1" thin metal sheet, then glue that to the hole with the sealant, or if I can just plug the entire whole with the sealant? :dunno:

I think you just plug the entire hole. My dad did it on one of our older cars and it worked ok.

I used one on the pipe b4, That thing burned 3 hours later. And I sat there the whole hour waiting for it to dry like the instruction told me to.

Just use metal tape for a temp patch.
