Infernal Affairs I was the HK movie that Brad Pitt bought the rights to or something.

Anyways part II is GREAT. Too bad the two crappy young actors (Edison and Shawn Yue) ruin it with their horrible acting.

I have I on DVD, didn't watch it yet. Have II on VCD-- ditto... aren't they making III now? They said Edison SUCKS and II is actually "better" than I...

 

so did Pitt buy the rites to make an English version? the first one is

 

"HOLLYWOOD (Zap2it.com) -- Brad Pitt and his producing partner Brad Grey have secured the rights to the remake of the Hong Kong action hit "Infernal Affairs." The rights attracted bids from nearly every major studio in Hollywood last week, where it had two screenings a day. Trades indicate that Pitt and Grey, who run a still-unnamed shingle at Warner Bros. along with Pitt's wife, Jennifer Aniston, bought the rights for $1.75 million.

Directed by Alan Mak and Andrew Lau, "Infernal Affairs" was released last December in Hong Kong, and became the country's top-grossing film of 2002.

The story centers on two moles, a Mafia informant within the police organization and an undercover cop in the Triads. The moles find out that there is another mole in their respective camps and are determined to find out who it is.


Pitt may play one of the cops in the picture, reports Variety. "
