He was sick for a year or so, losing weight, not getting an appetite. Would get his blood tested every week or so from then until now and he didn't have great blood. He got an infection in his hand, and they finally found out that it was lieuchemia, and that his blood was to weak to fight the infection in his hand, so he went to the hospital and got better. Went home, got a fever, went back in and was supposed to get better and then go to chemo but today, December 14, 2003 at 4:00 AM will forever remain the worst day of my life and this just took me a good while to write, but I'm telling you all; appreciate everything, and take nothing for granted. I didn't see him today but I talked to him on the phone. I loved him man. He was the best dad anyone could ask for. Oh god, my mom and I are now here and we thank you all.

Cancer is the worst... I've been living with it for the past 14yrs having 7 radiation treatments w/in those 14yrs including one that I got in October of this year. The most beneficial piece of advice I can give you is go to the doctor regularly and have your blood tested. Don't take life for granted... sorry for going OT, but my sincere condolences.

oh man...that sucks beyond words. I feel for you. I have no idea how I'd handle losing one of my parents right now.

Stay strong.
