i have a pair of gloves I keep in the car.... crazy but it helps a bit... I put the gloves over the shifter and the parking brake.
Helps keep off some of the chill when I go to take off in the morning. :dunno:
Even if you just have a wash cloth or a dish towel to take with you to hold the shifter with... makes a diffrence to me.

I use my Mechanix gloves once in a while but it really doesn't get cold enough to really need them for driving.
