Default I win ....:happydance:

:joshers:

About freaking time I get rid of the fukking virus

I finally nuke that summabitch.

Turns out it was a trojan named Exploit-CodeBase that was hiding out in my temp internet files and the only way to get rid of it was to scan while offline...hmmmppphhh...go figure that:doh:

Anyways after all the fighting and being completely pissed off at my computer I am finally rid of the virus so I can go back to happy computing.

what was it doing to your comp?

I installed some stuff from Microsoft that made my comp keep crashing...and Windows kept blaming it on a device driver...go figure.

Aything I opened that had the words

Virus
antivirus
monitor
regedit

and a few other keywords it would force that window closed....I couldn't run a virus scan unless I was in safe mode and then it didn't register as a virus because it didn't boot the virus.

Any ime I tried to run or install an antivirus it wouldn't allow it.

Locked out of my admin permissions on the comp.

Every time I thought i had it caught it turned around and switched between the same two files.

Wouldn't let me update any of my virus descriptions.

The list goes on and on but it was a real bitch to find and kill...even McAfee in an email said it didn't sound like any virus they had heard of :slap: they were wrong it just seems to have been a slight hybrid form of a current description
