Should grow to 4-5 feet (mostly tail :happysad: ) in a year or so.

It's pretty smart. I just brought more crickets home but placed them outside the tank and the Basilisk ran to the side closest to the crickets and tried to get at them. Kind of cruel though, I found 3-4 uneaten crickets that looked maimed in a pile. h:

Currently eats six crickets a day. Can't wait till I can feed MICE!

Right now it's a 20 gallon. I have to buy a HUGE terranium (sp?) in a bit. h: Little guy also needs UV lighting, 100w basking light, 50w red light for the night, heated floor and a fogger. So spoiled. About a grand. Maybe I should have got a puppy....

so...are you gonna raise your own colony of mice, too? just for feed.

 

i'm not sure if they come live at all. i used to have to buy mine frozen, stick em ina baggie, then let them sit in hot water til they defrosted. not for the squeamish

 

try to find a pet store that carries pinkies

my turtles also swim to whatever side of the tank im on
u should see them when i get the food bottle and they see me
