Speaking of bars, our regular college bar has 2 for 1 domestic drafts on Tuesdays starting at 10 plus Karaoke. So, I went on Tues and I ordered two Labatt's (more evidence the US owns Canada). After the beers I order a baked potato soup, two more Labatts and a glass of water.

Waiter guy: "We don't serve water"
Me: "why not?"
Waiter guy: "We don't serve tap water during the drink specials. Order a bottle."
Me: "No, I always order water. This is bullshit and I believe it is illegal"
Waiter guy: "Don't complain to me, complain to the bartender."

Fricking BS man. Pissed me off. I need my water when I am drinking a lot.

 

Did you go by yourself? Always wondered how that worked. I see a lot of people go drinking by themselves at the local bars.

I went "by myself" but since I'm part of the regular crowd I always run into my other regular type peeps. Plus I know the bouncers there from before they worked there so if I tire of stupid drunk people then I can check in to see how many people they've kicked out so far since it tends to get a little rowdy on Wednesday.

And I must reiterate how insane that chick with the short hair was able to move, I'm sober now and when I replay it in my head it's like whoa.

Having Madison as my primary drinking town made me forget that there are actually waiters in some bars. When I was home for Thanksgiving I went out on a Friday with this girl and we got to the bar like 10:30 ish and sat at one of them tall tables. We had a waitress bringing us drinks the whole night--the only time I got up was to go to the bathroom. That was really cool so I gave a big tip.
