My sister is giving me her 97 Mitsu Diamante so I can kill a car payment, sell my Civic and get out of debt.
:happysad:
Bittersweet. Has many pros and cons. The biggest con is parting with my Civic.

Yeah... it's a big let down. But.. after being unemployed for 9 months between July 02 and July 03.. that ate all my savings.
because I didn't put a lot down on the Civic, my montly payment was really hefty... for a Civic. $317 a month. I was always able to pay that no problem before I got laid off.
And after I got laid off I lost insurance cause I just couldn't pay. So.. because I went so long without insurance.. I'm being charged double what I was before. $2400 a year.
And now school on top of that. That's also roughly $300 a month in tution payments.
Something has to give.
The Diamante only has to last me 20 more months. I'll be out of school... hopefully in a sweet job. And then I'll be right back to Honda.
The 04 Coupe with HFP is teh hawtness.
And who knows what will be out by then.
So.. I'm trying to stay positive. Plus I'm endlessly grateful to my big sis. And it's not like the D is a bad car. It's a sweet, sweet ride. V6, leather, power everything. It's not like I'm getting a beater. She just needs a little TLC from me. (My sister has two kid, ages 3 and 1 1/2... so you can imagne what the interior looks like. :eek3:

One thing that I like about you Janna is that you always try to maintain a positive attitude a look for the good.
Oh I'm working now.
Have been since July.. But not nearly close to what I used to be making.
Awww.. thanks Andy.
:hugglez: No point being pessimistic, I feel. It's just added stress no one needs.
