Ok i have been searching for the past 30 minutes, and cant seem to get a strait awnser on if it is ok to use foir engine cleaning... some people are saying that it stains aluminum, and turns rubber weird colors...true or not, i want to get some and clean my bay, but not if its gonna hurt shit...

I've heard it could eat away your wax.... so just to be safe I'd rewax the car after just to be sure.

I think it only does those things if you leave it on too long or do it while the engine is hot.

i let that stuff sit on my cheap cheap intake and strut bar. they did leave stains.

dunno the type or metal though.

simple green is corrosive to aluminum, (or it oxidizes it badly, i dont remember)

youre better off NOT using it for anything on your car.


these concerns are well documented by the US Army I believe, they will not use the material any more.
