when i came to college, i realized people have dramatically different ideas of what a "good" sat score is. at my high school, my score (1290) was a pretty crappy score. people routinely got 1400s and above - in fact that was probably the norm. when i came to college, people thought i was a genius because i got a 1290.. oh, and my college is pretty much looked down upon where i went to high school.

but no, i wouldn't call 1230 owning the sat either.

 

to each their own. my parents are proud of me. they spent thousands on sat prep schools and i showed them whats up.
