Default Child's Play

I don't think anyone's brought it up... so I'm gonna plug this. The guys at Penny Arcade are running a Christmas toy drive for Children's Hospital.

Basically, the staff at Children's Hospital has produced an Amazon Wish List full of toys that either kids have specifically requested or they've slated to go in waiting rooms, inpatient areas, etc. The toys on the list vary from Barbies and Legos to X-Boxes, PS2s, etc.

So far they've raised $64,000 worth of toys. :eek3:

See the dual stack of game cubes that goes halfway up the wall? Or the X-Boxes? :eek3:

BTW, those Legos are three feet deep.

So if you have a couple extra bucks in your pocket or in your Paypal account, check out the Wish List... buy a sick kid some toys. Children's Hospital handles a lot of kids with cancer and other serious illnesses.

If you just have a couple bucks you can Paypal it to Club PA.

I bought some Legos.

the kids ask for what they want and they put it on the wishlist. if somebody buys it, they get it.

I think the kids can "rent out" stuff to play with from the hospital desk. For free, of course. The kids made up lists so that the hospital would have a good idea of what to put on the list and how much.

A lot of the toys will also be put in waiting rooms, exam rooms, etc.
