my gf brother in law has a sister with down syndrome so i have to watch what i say around him

her sister is a lesbian so i have to watch what i say around her
i slipped once tho:
we were watching tv at her parents place and magneto(ian mckellen) was on and someone remarked about his being gay and i retorted "i refuse to believe that"
then i remember her sister was there in the next toom
gf said to me "dont say stuff like when shes here"
i played it off saying "hes magneto and gandalf. he cant be gay"
then theres the fact i work with special kids so i have to watch what i say about them
but im stuck in class

Whenever something about people's behavior gets me down, I simply remind myself that everyone including myself is stupid (in varying degrees of course) so there's no reason to worry about it. Because there ain't no curing the general human condition of stupidity.

sometimes people don't stop to wonder what effect their actions are having on other people. aint nothing you can do to make them pay attention to something like that.
so dont get stressed over something like this, because you'll just end up getting a heart attack/stroke/cancer/ulcer/you-name-it faster than by letting it be.
