Default help with film editing, Adobe premiere 6.0

im integrating a simpsons episode in my video, and its in Divx. extension is .avi. The video works but the audio doesnt. anyone know how to fix this?

You have to extract the file to a windows media type file...avi should work but for some reason Premiere doesn't like avi...switch it to MPEG and I am sure you can use it with no problem.

Cant remember exactly how to do it in Premiere but I know there is some other software you can use to do this with.

for avi---> .mpeg i use tmpgenc. search for it on www.vcdhelp.com
