I got in an accident a few weeks ago and we settled for cash. I got nearly $1000 to my name and not insurance rate hike. Now that I'll need to do some bodywork to my car, I figured that I could buy an air compressor and painting equipment, and still have a _lot_ of money left over, for what the autobody shops quoted me for.

What would be like the minimum compressor size for painting? most of the spray guns that I see on sale say they use 10~12 cfm. If you guys could give me examples on specific compressors, that would be great.

Also, keep in mind that I would like to spend as little as possible. Portability would be a plus, even though I know its going to be huge...
