I'm not real impressed with them. They skip over a lot of stuff in the books... I think they should be about an hour longer apiece so they can fill in all the extra info.

I can't wait, I'll be there opening night. I'm excited...and sad at the same time. This is gonna be the last one, unless they get Peter Jackson to do the hobbit....which is unlikely.

The general movie-watching public ain't gonna sit through 3.5 hours of the stuff at a time. So they release the "short" versions in the theaters and then the fans can get the extended version on DVD. Sounds like a resonable compromise to me.

:werd: the two towers extended edition is 3 hours and 43 minutes or something. :eek3:

the first extended version had an add. 30 minutes, and the second one had 40 min.

i will be there opening night for ROTK.

The LOTR movies give me chills, they're so damn good.
Best movies EVER!!!!!
I will not, however, go on opening night to watch ROTK..I went for TT and had to sit in the very first row, major suckage...Plus, I just hate going to crowded theatres. I will go that Sunday.
