I Got My Car Back!!!
I finally got my car back today from RLZEngineering . It was hydrolocked back in August.

Even though it was cold as hell (we're supposed to get some sleet tonight) I was rolling with the windows down just listening to the motor. I really missed my car. I don't think that I even turned on my radio yet.
:naughty:Here's what I ended up getting:
CTR Pistons
Stock rods and crank
Titanium valve springs and retainers
New valve guides
Farrea valves
Quaife ATB
Poly motor-mounts
The head was rebuilt and ported and polished by Brad at RLZEngineering, a man regarded by many as the nation's best in head-work. He did a simple valve job, ported the exhaust valves some, a lot of chamber-reshaping, and a simple Type-R polish on the intake ports. My engine is somewhere on their website, actually, getting the cams degreed.

My engine is the one with the blue AEM cam gears.
Cams are on the way, although I haven't decided which ones because I ended up with a 12:1 compression ratio, so I don't yet know exactly how that affects the engine's clearences. Because of the high compression and headwork, the car's running really lean, and Brad told me to get a fuel pressure regulator first thing.
It drives great. The engine never felt this powerful, although I'm sure 4 months out of the driver's seat has had some effects on my memory. One thing's for sure: That quafie rocks. The car stays on course regardless of throttle position, and going straight the steering wheel does not move, or hesitate to return to center.
Of course, i can't really kill it yet, not for another 933 miles and an oil change. But I'm so happy to get finally have my own car again. No more borrowing my mom's car, or getting rides. I have re-experienced getting my first car, (except this car is cool).
I'm going for another ride.
