Default Digicam memory?

How much memory is enough? I've got a Minolta XT which uses SD memory. I can record video and audio with it as well. I'm on the fence about how much memory to buy though... 128MB or 256MB... is 128MB enough?

depends on the quality you plan on taking your pictures. If you're going to take all high quality pix, i would go with at least 256. but if you're going to take pix at minimum resolution, 128 would be sufficient

what joe said.

with my digi cam at max resolution each pis is 6.2MBs. so on a 512mb CF card that will hold about 130 pics or so.

I plan on getting another 512MB or 1GB so i can store more pics.

depends on where you are using the camera. if you are taking them on long trips often, get at least 256mb. that will hold a good amount of pics at a decent resolution. as for me, i am rarely away from home for more than 2-3 days...which means i can easily upload the pics onto my computer. so i have 128mb. two of them. h:

with ur camera...you can get probably 150 highest resolution pics on a 128mb card....i think. then you also have to think about battery life.

I have a 128 MB card for my Canon S200, but it's only 2 megapixels. I fit my whole summer's worth of pictures (like 150-ish) at full resolution on the card no problem. With the 3 megapixel camera it'll reduce capacity, so 256 MB should be more than enough.

with a S400 I would get a 512mb cf

ecost had the regular ones for $114.99

I just ordered a 1GB UltraII CF which should allow me to hold 300+ at full res. :rick:
