Oh I see. I think I read on one of these you need some space at least 18ft tall or something.

there are some lifts i could squeek by with around 10 ft of clearance.

18ft is for SUVs and shit, it wont matter with old italians, brits, and normal-person cars.

i got two snap on tool chests filled to the brim, and they stand taller than i do.

plus some little plano piece of crap.

im thinking abotu getting a kwik lift down the line though

www.kwiklift.com

though those lifts like you have are only like 3k

I considered getting kwiklift at one point but they cost nearly as much as a regular post lift. so i decided to wait and for the second house make sure the garage ceiling has proper clearance.

yea garages are cool...if we had a garage at our house my car would be in there and i'd be removing the engine and stuff so the insurance can pick it up...but since its pouring outside i wont have time to do it i'll have to buy it back and part it.

Is it just me or does it seem all those quicklifts lift the car up while its on its wheels? That makes it pretty damn useless for anything but an oil change.

i found one that lifts it by the chassis but it was $2500. which is pretty fing expensive for only lifting 36-48inches.
