hey nerds (antivirus question)
We have a machine that is totally infected with like 24523563145 virii.... but everytime we actually get an anti virus program on there, it's already taken over by the virus's, we scan with it and it says there's no virus.
We've tried the online virus scanners like security.symantec.com and antivirus.trednmicro.com and one from panda something. They all come up clear. But it's obvious there's a virus and the "removal tools" don't work.
I'm looking to see if there's an antivirus program on a cd that we can run. So that we can like... uhh... boot to dos or something and run it there. All the new ones need to be INSTALLED. Are there any that don't need to be anymore?
I tried F-Prot but even that needs to be installed new. I just need a stand alone AV program that detects all the new stuff but doesn't need to be installed. It's frustrating. I mean, yea if worse comes to worse we'll just fdisk and format. But it's kinda like a project, I wanna see if we can clean and save the machine.

Virus came from an email on the machine anyway... nothing to do with the firewall. h:
