Lots of people around here seem to think the cool thing to do now is to put it in neutral and bounce off the revlimiter a couple times.

Is that safe if it's in neutral? Why do some people think it's cool?

 

It's retarded. Bouncing off the rev limiter is idiotic.

Speaking of which, I'm cruising home from my mom's work, which is off the 5 freeway. This retard in a civic (lightly modded) is behind me, I guess 80mph wasn't fast enough, so he cuts over two lanes, passes the truck in the next lane, then cuts back, where he is now next to me real quick and revs, then "tries" to take off.

I just kept on cruising, the freeway wasn't empty and I didn't feel like shattering his ego.

I've done it and the reasoning was that after my engine was broke in we were talking about redlines and what happens when you hit them, I got called a liar so I showed them what 9800 RPM sounds like and what happens when it hits redline.

I bounced off it twice and that was it.....have yet to ever hit the limiter since.

 

i was driving my brother's car yesterday. while trying to pull into the drive way i stalled. h: i started the car again but forgot to take my foot off the gas, so as soon as the car started up it revved up to like 6k. :doh: :chuckles:
