get out of a ticket
does anyone have the link to a wesite that was posted a long while ago about how to get out of a speeding ticket. The guy said he had been pulled over 17 times, and gotten 2 tickets. It was a good reference, and I lost the link.
THanks

Well, I guess I'm kinda honest, and that when I got my speeding ticket (I was probably going over 100 when he got me, but the officer clipped it down to a 90 in a 65), I just sent in a letter stating that I'm sorry, that speeding was untypical behavior for me, and that I requested that the court lessen my fine ($165 fine is expensive when you're a student) and that I be granted the right to take traffic school. BUT I acknowledged that I did in fact speed, and I sped even though I knew I was violating the law.
The ticket got reduced to $87 dollars after fees (And I got the traffic school option too), which I consider fair because I did break the law, and the fact that the judge clipped the ticket in half for writing a one page letter.

just got a ticket on sat for doing 78 in a 50 and somehow its only a $70 fine? and no points? also got a warning for negeliance for driving? which would have been a $75 fine and 5 points glad i only got a warning. but just pay the ticket and be on your way
Those websites are funny. They give people false hopes. There are traffic cops out there who write 2-4 thousand tickets a year. Figure they go to court on 750-1000 of those tickets. I think they probably have a little bit more experience than the clowns who write those websites. And guess what.....Cops have computers too
We can access those sites as well and learn all the little "tricks" people might try to pull in court. Those websites are bogus. Just plead not guilty, and when you go to court, before you go in, pull the cop aside and ask if you can negotiate. 99% of the time he'll knock it down for you if you agree to plead guilty....he doesn't want to have to go to court just as much as you do. Its a pain for everyone involved.
