Enjoy your thanksgiving?
I wish I could say I did. The day started off on the right foot. My gf wanted to cook dinner this year since I cooked the last two years. The only thing done is the turkey, and it's been sitting on top of the stove since 3pm or so, she left to go get her sons a little after 3, like 3:30 to go get her sons from her sisters(15 min away) and just now walked back through the door. I called her sister to see what was up, dumbass answers the phone:
Me: Hey, what's going on, what's taking so long?
Her: well, the kids are getting a ride on a scooter
Me: click
I should have followed my first mind and went to my boy's house but nooooooo, I wanted to play the role of "family" guy and all I get is cold turkey out of it. Nevar again.

it was a fun thanksgiving. a lot of mishaps though h:
#1- we decided to try a turkey bag for the oven. everything went in, but i forgot to flour the bag. so we had to use a new bag
#2- the bag expanded and started to burn on the top, so we just took the bag off
#3- the bottom of the oven was so dirty, it caught fire. h: had to take the turkey out and clean the oven.
#4- turkey went back in, only to find out i put it upside down h: it was breast down, instead of up.
#5- getting ready to eat, made a big cut off of the breast...it was still a lil pink inside...back in the oven it went. h:
overall, it was cool and fun. now im back home, wondering if i should sleep early so i can hitup best buy at 6am

Ate well, watched WWE...parents left for the beach...don't have to work tomorrow...all in all, I'd say it was a good day.
Couple of bad things though...I forgot about the big Christmas Tree lighting at the mall near my house. They have it every Thanksgiving and they have fireworks, and I always forget. I was reminded when I heard the fireworks while I was watching TV.
Also, I'm out of bread and mayo, so I can't make a turkey sandwich with the leftover turkey. :happysad:
