need help from dvd afficionados
i want to buy matrix and lotr box sets when they come out
but i always see limited edition!, or special editin!, or special edition release (when it first comes out)
fotr has many editions
if i want to get the best one should i wait?

the LOTR movies have 3 different releases each, the Theatrical Version, the Special Extended version (40+ extra minutes of footage), and the Collectors Edition (same DVDs as Special Edition, but just comes with collector's gifts).
Just make sure you get the Special Extended Editions...the extra footage make the movie way more enjoyable.
