the internal drives are expensive, because retailers are selling them at or below cost. we cant lower prices because it would upset the channel players.

there are some good deals on external drives though. all of the new onetouch drives have a $30 rebate, there's a 250GB with a $50 rebate, and some instant rebates.

anyway, it's good to see what the community thinks

I stand partially corrected. I was comparing retail kits vs. OEM bare drives :doh:
