A Honda-related post!
I just thought I would update you all on my old civic. I sold it to a buddy, along with a spare b16A. His plan was to build an Ariel Atom style racecar from scratch. He's using the B16 (with a turbo), the gsr transmission and I'm not sure what he's doing with the B20. I thought he was going to build a B20vtec, but that plan looks like it's off the table for now. The whole frame weighs about 200lbs. 2 guys can pick it up and move it pretty easily.
One of our other friends bet him $500 that he would not have the car running and road legal in 5 years. Three years later and it's starting to actually look like a car :exnbp:
Yes, JGordon, those are your wheels h:

Those are the only pics I took when I was over there last weekend. But it's a double A-arm suspension with a pushrod (gold link) going to a triangular bellcrank (red aluminum). The bellcrank pivot is obscured by the tube in the picture, but the pivot point is the forward-most point on the bellcrank. There is a threaded recess in the frame rail that the bellcrank bolts into. The coilover is just held in by double shear tabs welded to the top of the firewall crossmember.
The pushrod is adjustable and the coilover is adjustable to dial in the suspension. There is also a rear link to adjust toe in/out (red link between the rear mounts of the a-arms).
