Today at work someone came up to me and commented that he saw me reading an issue of super street. He then went on to ask what I drove and such. He sorta knew what he was talking about, and he was hinting that he wanted to race me. I asked what he drove... jetta 1.8T with intake :doh:

He wanted to see what my car was like so we went on lunch break together. We took the freeway on the way back and I hit 90 on the onramp (would have gone to 100 but didn't want to rear end anyone) and he almost crapped himself.

I'm assuming he doesn't want to race any more.

Where do people get the idea that just because their car has an intake it's suddenly a drag racer?

I don't even think my car is that fast. Just a '98 GSR with IHE. Imagine if I had a good NA setup, or even a turbo! Maybe I would have to be cleaning up my passenger seat after he soiled himself...

 

I Dont really know how to answer your question, I just think that everyone goes through a stage where 'you want to race everyone' most come out of the stage when they find out how dangerous/stupid it is...

 

street racing is bad mkay.

I know in california atleast the police can take your car away and sell it if you're caught street racing.

 

Face it, he just wanted a ride in your integra... we own them, not everyone does.

 

I only wish our cars were that cool.

 

surprisingly a lot of girls think my black GS-R is pretty hot, even though it's very clean and simple.

note: I say surprisingly because most people who don't know much about cars tend to not appreciate subtlety.

People think my car can do the 1/4 in 12seconds just because it's yellow.

One guy at a drive through off of I-5 on my way to LA, asked me if I had 400hp :lmfao:
