Default Quick tire question

In the rain.....are snow tires generally just as good as all-season tires??

Yes, they both suck in the rain.

Ok.....

Let me re-phrase.....

For all those who put other rims/tires on for the winter, and have to deal with equal amounts of snow and rain........what kind of tires do you use?

I would go with a "performance winter" tire. It provides better snow and ice traction than an all season tire but better dry-road behavior than an all-out snow tire. This type of tire is best for use in areas that receive a good amount of snow but the roads don't stay covered for too long. Some performance winter tires are the Michelin Pilot Alpin, Pirelli Winter 210 SnowSport, Bridgestone Blizzak LM-22 and Dunlop Winter Sport M2/M3.
