so far the only thing i really like about halo is it does manage vehicles better than any game i've played so far, and the music is pretty decent, other than that i really just don't get it

Look at all the stuff it has spawned... CS, DoD, TF, NS, Firearms, etc, etc, etc.

Three expansions, and at any given time there are more people playing games online with the Half-Life engine than any other. All this from a practically no-name company.

Halo is fun with two players... just get's dizzy after a few hours of play :ugh:

Not quite no-name. Half-life used a slightly modified Quake 2 engine.

Valve and Steam were not even anywhere near the map until Half Life came out.

Granted they did use a modified unreal engine to get there but they also made the largest mark on the gaming market ever with a simple redesign
