Default Cellphone guru's

I have had my account with AT&T wireless for 5 years and have had the same phone the whole time. I went into AT&T store today and was looking at the T720 motorola the cacs at AT&T wanted me to pay full price for it. WTF new subscribers get this same phone for alot cheaper then I can get it. My current cell is about dead the screen is very dim. Should I just jump ship to another provider. Or should I just buy a T39 ericsson on eBay unlocked so I can keep my cell number. How come new customers get the deep deal?

^yea ATT is upcharging all existing customers $150 ontop of whatever the price of the phone is. thats what we're doing at best buy. i guess att is not making any money cuz their GSM network sucks really bad.
i would keep ur number and switch to cingular or t mobile. i would go with t mobile cuz of the 24hrs customer service. so anytime u call they can help u

T721 sucks
i had the T720. not a good phone.
if you don't mind the size, i would get nokia 3650. its cheaper and has bestest reception:thumbup:

Cingular had pretty good coverage from what I saw (no complaints on reception while I was up there). I guess it's just a matter of what phone you want to get. If you just want to get a phone (without the extra stuff like a camera, MP3 player, etc.) I would suggest either the Nokia 3595 or the Siemens S56. If you want a flip, you could try the LG 4050.
