Of course not to say that white folks aren't portrayed as evil or guilty ones. I'd say King shows the evil, or just down sides of his white characters more than any, though. A lot more, actually. I've read a lot of his stuff. He's a great author, and I don't see him as racial anything. He's just a great writer, and a couple stories of his just happened to show the black man as guilty.
King isn't just a great author...he's the best!

he, and Anne Rice are the only authors I read pretty consistantly. But where King is da man, she's erm... ok... I just like vampire books.

I'm still in the middle of Dark Tower V. I'm looking for a job most of the time, so between that and class I can hardly sit down for a nice read.

I haven't gotten Dark Tower V yet...I absolutely loved the series so far, but it's been a while and I have to reread III and IV...plus a couple of other books. I'm currently reading Black House, by Stephen King and Peter Straub.
