I think halo was just ported poorly. I can run any other game out without any problems including Call of Duty (which is what I'm going to go play now)

i played the xbox version for the first time last night and its pretty badass. the controls are still foreign to me tho. mebbe cause im used to PC/ counterstrike controls. mebbe i should get the pc version :drool:

Call of Duty is the sh!t. It's the only game I'm actually going to play the single player for.:thumbup:

I've got halo pc. great game. i just got an All In Wonder 9800 Pro, graphics are all the way up. looks great. I don't know what qtiger is talking about, Halo PC has great game play!

Multiplayer in CoD is sorta getting old. I don't like the fact that every ****ing area in the multiplayer levels has like 5 avenues of approach. I'm busy shooting some guy and I get flanked by a single ****er because there are like 15 freaking holes in the wall for him to run up to me...stupid.

I never got the hype either and I am a FPS junkie...but Halo never did it for me at all.

My video card isn't a bottleneck...I have no problems playing any other game with effects turned up.
As for Halo, it's a pretty good game, it ain't no Half-Life or anything, but it is one of the better FPSs I've played.

Halo sucks ass.
Like they said.... it may be the shiznit on the xbox, but it is a big peice of crap compared to ut2003/unreal 2.... and lets not even get into the upcoming half life 2.
I downloaded the demo.... it couldn't even hit a constant 60 fps at 1024x768.... and my computer is a Athlon 64 3400+ w/ a Radeon 9800 PRO. And it looks 2 years old, unlike UT.

even though it might be in the same food category it aint the same
it would be better if u compared it to HL, thrs actually a lot of categories within FPS'
but halo is much better for PC in terms of graphics, i wana get call of duty
