I doubt the church still believes in an earth centered galaxy anymore. At first, they accepted the sun centered theory, but were trying to say that earth was the only planet that didn't revolve around the sun.
before they went to the heliocentric theory, there was a theory called geo-heliocentric. it was where the earth revolved around the sun, but the rest of the planets revolved around the earth.

i personally do not believe in a God. I believe in science, and the search for all that it entails.
and i respect that. everyone has a desire to follow something. and i'd say follow what you want. i'm not one to shove anything down anyone's throat. doesn't mean what some people follow is the truth. i'm not a hugely evangelical person. i'd love to see everyone find God. but i'm not going to condemn anyone for not following Him. i leave that up to God.

:werd: Christianity is not a religion, it is the pursuit of a personal relationship with God.

every single second of one's life is an experience... and no two people have the same life.. therefore nobody see's the world, the universe, life, beliefs as someone else see's it... those things makeup your own universe.. and everyone lives in their own universe.. its created when you are born, and extinct when you die.. your universe, in my opinion, is controlled by both you and coincidence... neither dominate the other, you make the choices that coincidence may or may not have thrown in front of you, and coincidence happens from your choices... that is what i believe, some believe a higher power throws everything in front of you and there are no coincidences... everything is meant to be, so to speak.. if that were the case, in my humble opinion, there would be no suffering, and there's plenty of that

I'm sick of everyone trying to prove themselves right on a subject such as faith which by its very nature cannot be proven through any sort of fact-based logic. When people believe things because they have faith it is next to impossible to convince them that they are wrong, and when people have a more secular outlook it is impossible for them to understand the people who make faith-based arguments.

Agree to disagree and leave it at that because all you're doing is blowing steam up each other's asses.
