The sound of twelve nearly completely stock Ferrari 360 Modenas (save for exhaust) suddenly gunning it at the starting line 3/4 of a mile away at Watkins Glen. The sound is absolutely spine chilling when resonating through trees.

My 5-way tie:

*The sound of a new Enzo being run to redline in 1st, 2nd and third. (Driving, behind the car)

* The sound of an F355 in one of the many tunnels between Italy and Switzerland (Following directly behind the car at the time)

* The sound of a MkIV TT Supra w/ ±550whp. (From the passenger's seat, targa roof open)

* The sound of a 993 911 Turbo passing at 180+ on the Autobahn between Ülm and Frankfurt. (In a 406 V6 Sedan at about 110mph)

* The sound of a 1989 Peugeot 405 Mi16 from 2500 rpm on to the 7400 rpm fuel-cut. (From the driver's seat h: )

LS1/LS6 GM sounds awesome. LT5's sound awesome, too. Chrysler's 318 always sounded nice with a good exhaust, not having to mention the 426. The 318 is still my all-time favorite old V8 though from that era.

SRT-4's and PT turbos sound awesome too. Very nice. I like deeper american sounding cars I guess.

In all truthfullness, I love the Mopar big blocks just as much as a the wail of a Ferrari 8 or 12, just as much as I love the sound boosted fours and sixes. It's impossible for me to pick a single favorite. h:

all the late-model McLaren F1 cars
all the late-model Ferrari F1 cars

Street car though... I'd say a 360 or 355, as well as the Viper. Sheer cargasm material.
