I'm from Maryland originally and I've always honked the horn when I pick people up at their houses. Everybody I know does that too. Or hell when I'm picking up this girl whose parents go to sleep early I call her on her cell phone and tell her I'm in the driveway.
Maybe you've been spoiled by all of these years of people getting out of their cars to ring your door bell. It ain't because he's from Wisconsin though.
our neighbors friends used to honk every ****ing morning at 6 am cuz they were lazy spoiled private school biztches. my dad used to go ask them politely not to honk.
than they started dropping tread in front of our house and hitting 50 leaving the street.
so he would wait with his car in gear and drive in front of them.
and thats the way to settle your disputes, wis-kan-style.

If your picking someone up their worthless ass should look outside to make sure when you there. Why should you have to go to the trouble of getting out and going to the door if you have no reason to. Unless its your girlfriend or something...

Yeah but then you have to get out of the car and walk up to the door then walk all the way back to the car.
