valvoline max life for higher mileage cars. i use 20w-40 all year round

Yes, I know. But, I don't have the money to spend on synthetic. Most likely I'd be going back and forth between the two. Which, really, wouldn't matter. My cars aren't going to explode or anything.

Sythetic just runs smoother longer, and you don't have to change as often. It evens out if it isn't cheaper.

A guy I met at the races works at the local oil refinery. He stirs the tanks that contain the oil prepped for gasoline. Once in a while, independent research companies go in and test out different brands. He did ask which was the best oil. Turns out that Amsoil is at the top, while Royal Purple and Mobil 1 are ranked right after.

Oh and btw, I use Royal Purple 10-40w

Amsoil is supposed to be the best. And its price would reflect that.

Same as usual, I just go to Honda for oil changes. There is some Petro Canada special winter gas but I don't use those gimmicks.

I'm lazy and just use Honda 5W-30, but I used Castrol Syntech 5W-30 before that cause it was free :thumbup:
