install and tell it you're a n00b.
it's easy to use. When you first use a program this needs to use a program, it'll ask for permission, just click the box that says to always let it access and click "Yes".
use it!

watever u say buddy...all i know its a pain in the ass to do and thrs nuttin on my comp to hak
all i want to do is jus surf the web and not bother letting all this shiat get in my way. if someone wants to send me a trojan or worm, my antivirus will catch it. if a hacker really wants to get into my computer by searching open ports, ill let him, becuz once he has access, thrs nuttin to get.
if he decides to screw up my windows XP, ill reinstall it cuz i hav the corporate edition. u guys hav to stop worrying so much...

We don't like beng inconvenienced. Spend like 30 minutes setting up the firewall, and it can save you hours down the road so that you don't have to re-install everything. I think it is worth it, and I am speaking from experience.
