Dual Exhaust Functional setup.. Crushed..
HEy all,
I'm going with the Dual exhaust setup (of course for looks)...
I will have the Y after the Resonator (at the first bend in the pipe)...
From the Header back to the Y i'll be running 2.5" piping...
Now, I am only able to get the Crushed piping from the Y-back to the Tail...
So instead of going from 2.5" at the Y to 1.25" (like i should with a Manderal bend)
What size do i use because of the crushes?
1.5", 1.75", 2" ?
Thanks all

why are you getting 2.5 in the first place. the biggest you want to go (unless ur running a turbo or sc) is 2.25. I had a dual setup on my last car, and just ran crushed 2.25 'til the y, then crushed 1. 25. worked fine.

what kind of car is this going on? If this is just for looks, why not just leave it stock and slap on a dummy muffler on the other side?

heres a quote from another guy...
thoughts?
Total cross sectional area of 2.5" exhaust = ~4.9085".
Total cross sectional area of 2 1.25" pipes = ~2.45".
Total cross sectional area of 2 1.75" pipes = ~4.8104".
Total cross sectional area of 2 1.76" pipes = ~4.9087".
You see, just dividing in half isn't the answer. You will need 2 pipes of ~1.76" each, as 1.75" is still going to be too small. And that's if they are mandrel bent. If you are getting crush bent piping, then you will need a muffler shop that can estimate the inside diameter of their crush bent piping, and then calculate the cross sectional area.
