if the policy strictly prohibits track driving, then it will be covered.
obviously if he was racing, then it wont be covered.
I know several people that had track damage covered by their insurance company and they were all at a High Performance Driver Education event (aka track school, not a competition).
generally if the event is timed then it's considered racing and insurance wont cover it.
thus autox is not covered :doh: while HPDE is covered.
