I'd like to think of my future partner as a friend, so I guess the friends with benefit concept would fit.

but the chances of this actually happening are slim to none. people always get emotions involved when it comes to intimacy of any kind.

that being said, i think it's entirely possible for two people who don't know each other very well to have a successful (no weird emotions, etc.) one night stand/casual sex. but when the people are already friends, there is a history involved, there are already feelings of some kind there. even platonic love for one another can completely screw everything up.
