Default My weekend scares

Both on Thursday on the way home.

First on I 81 with traffic bumper to bumper at 70 mph. There is a semi ahead of me, semi behind me and a couple of cars on the side. I am in the hammer lane, semi in front of me lets go off an alligator strip (part of the tire) and I see it, I swerve just in time but it still hits me... I knew if I hit my brakes I'd have a ass full of a 18 wheeler. Thankfully no damage, I checked the undertray and didn't see anything broken.

On the road home... something hits my windshield. I already had to buy a new windshield over summer... first thing that came out of my mouth... "please not again" thankfully no damage to the windhshield.

don't you have insurance? I was driving down to Maryland, and a rock hit my windshield on the driver's side and put a bullet hole in it. It seriously was the smallest little ding, but my insurance company REPLACED the WHOLE windshield for me for free. Driver's distraction they said...

But if it wasnt in the driver's side, they stilll woulda repaired it.

I only carry liability which does not cover windshield damage. The costs for a 22 year old for full coverage is too much for me to afford.
