I wondered this, and I watched a Top Gear video on the GTR, and the only thing I really came across is that it's 1) heavy 2) not really that great of a handler 3) it has electronics to foool people into thinking it's a Corvette fighter on all fronts. Somebody once told me it's "The Japanese Corvette." I don't know. Doesn't impress me.
