Well, I decided to throw a picture of my "new" car into my avatar. Oooh, ahh.

Anyway, it is a lovely little jpg, but I want it to be a gif with a transparent background (no black background.) How do I do that?

 

photoshop ---> save as ----> GIF

 

magic wand the black area to select it, then hit delete.

save as gif.

 

photoshop ---> don't have

I think I have an installer file somewhere on my computer though.

I use MSpaint, the poor man's special.

 

ok, installing PS 6.0 now.

 

bah, that magic wand tool keeps choping huge parts of the windssheild. It can stay black for now.

open up photochop and get avatar done for kai

 

its easy since your background contrast with the car really well.

-copy document and paste onto a new document that has a transparent background

-take the magic wand on 32 tolorance and select the background

-delete background

-its very choppy, so youre gonna have to clean the edges up.


looks weird though.
