Default anyone have the sony DSC-P71 cam?

a friend of mine has this camera and has been struggling since he purchased it to be able to take good pictures in sunlight. every time he takes a picture, the entire picture is way too bright.

the ISO is at 400. WAYYYYY too high for an outdoor pic during the day.

is this on AUTO mode? the ISO should be around 100 when outdoors during the day. also check the white balance while you are at it.
