Default any of you kalis worried right now?

Fire is about 2 miles from my house as of an hour ago. The wind is blowing the opposite way at about 10 mph right now, but it's still coming my way. I was at a view point last night about mid night and it was at the top of the ridge. This morning I could see it out my upstairs window. I drove by it this morning and noticed it was almost half way down the hill. I figured it travels about 1/4-1/2 mile last night. I took pictures last night and this morning. I'll take more tonight and post a bunch when this is all over. There are a bunch of bulldozers on the next street over waiting for it to get close as well as helicopters landing down the street from me at a park taking on water from the fire hydrants. It's a mess out here. Let's just hope it stops really soon!
scary...

Chuck, Daniel, Gerard, Harald, Kate, Robert, Tony, Mike... Thanks for your
kind words and moral support. Hope you are still OK, Mike.

Six of my neighbors have apparently lost their houses within one to two
miles of where we live. The fire is just over the hill.

The Bugeye is on my trailer behind the Expedition, ready to leave at a
moment's notice... The crates for the dogs are in the van. I am really,
really surprised we have not been told to leave. That being said, Sheriff
cars are at the bottom of our road, and apparently any one leaving is not
allowed to come back. Not good.

The Porsche is in my brother in law's garage, and the Lotus is at my father
in law's house.

This day (days?) will be remembered as the day(s) San Diego County burned.

I'm not worried for myself, but I'm worried for other people in different parts of the county. They are talking about the different fires merging to make one....crazy shit.

Yeap. I'm right next to the ocean but I feel sorry for these inland people.

I'm inland and close to some of the fire...just about 3 miles...but in order for it to get to my house it's gonna take a lot.

:werd:

the nearest fire is over 70miles south of where I am... and there is a nice man made fire break.

but if there was a fire where I lived, I would be screwed. nothing but fast moving/burning dried grass surrounding me

I'm worried because the fires aren't going to be contained until at least Friday. That's plenty of time for fires to spread.

The fire here has jumped the 8 a few times, the 52 a few times, the 163, and 10 lanes across the 15 a couple times.
