Friends got a 91 turbo MR2 with the Greddy kit...ran a best of 13.4xx
Kaminari lip kit painted Si electron blue, but eh what can you do....it IS a sweet car.
But he said when it comes to driving aggressively on street or a windy back mt road...hes better with he Ford ZX2...
RWD and mid-engine = all the weight in the rear of the car...tail end coming out is way TOO easy. believe me we've experienced it.

Prior to 1993 MR2's were prone to snap oversteer. This was corrected in the 1993-1995 MR2s. They are beautiful, fun cars that would utterly destroy a Ford ZX2 on a back road, road course. One of the easiest, and smoothest car to push to the limits...as long as it's not a 91-92.

Sure, no problem. I almost bought a '93 Turbo. 93+ received a beefed up rear axle, some came stock with a LSD, better tail lights/rear wing, and wheels on the 94+ models. Of course you'll pay a premium for 94-95's..even more so if it's the highly sought after Steel Mist Grey.

yes the 93's got the usspension upgrades in the back.
the zx2 may feel better because of all the understeer. my friends 95 mr2 rotates sooooo nicely around turns, but you do have to be a little careful at first and really know the car before you trow it's ass out, not like driving an understeering pig fwd.
96+ JDM MR2's are the real butta. closer ratio tranny redesigned intake manifold i believe, they use a map sensor unit similar to honda's, which removes the MAF setup. oh yeah. a large quantity of the hardtops, which are lighter, and much stiffer. 96+ jdm mr2 is the one to get if you are gonna go for the best possible mr2
