Default New RDX

Looking to get an SUV when I move to the house, so we have a little extra room to haul stuff. Looking at the new RDX which seems like a natural shift from the TL. Anyone own/drive one?

The biggest hurdle is it's damn near impossible to find an AWD version in Florida. We might not get snow, but the AWD is helpful when pop-up thunderstorms dump 2 inches of rain.

I don't think you need AWD especially in a vehicle that isn't at all engaging to drive.

AWD in the MDX is fantastic! Even in dry San Diego. Plowed through snow in the mountains with no issues and slices through the two weeks of rain we receive annually. Worth it!

The system in the new RDX is very different than the MDX system. It is not a performance oriented system.

You've got the torque vectoring system in the MDX working for you. In the RDX, I believe it's like the CR-V.... front-wheel drive until there's wheelspin.
IMO, the only thing the new RDX has going for it is better fuel economy with the V6. The old turbo four was a nice motor, but using the power meant 18 mpg at best.

I like the MDX, but I was looking to get into a smaller lease payment. With the MDX, I am probably close-to, if not higher, than my current TL.

u sure u need AWD in Florida?
i gots a MDX and living in Chicago, its a blast
but as noted above, the SH-AWD is completely different from what the RDX/CR-V has...
if ur looking in AWD and cargo space, maybe look into a Subaru Outback?
