I never leave my car in gear when I park...well, unless I'm on a steep hill which is very rare. I just use my e/parking brake.

I hate it when valet or parking attendant people leave it in 1st :happysad:

 

I pull into my parking spot... stop... shift into nuetral... shut off engine... pull ebrake... shift into 4th... open door... lock door... and ring your girlfriends doorbell quick before you see me. :rick:

 

when i come to a stop--no matter where i am-- i put it in first and then i then pull up the parking brake....


....unless i wanna be cool, and in that case i just fly into the spot, yank the parking brake while i'm still rolling fast so my tires chirp, and then put it in gear...hahaha

 

I just leave it in neutral and pull the parking brake up. Even if I'm on a hill I do the same thing sometimes. I suck, I know. h:

 

brake only cuz i have illegal remote start.

 

or the dam garage guys...everytime i pick up my car, i start it up, then let go of the clutch, and when itz in first, my car jumps and stalls... :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk: :madfawk: i never put my car in first when i park it. its easier for me to remember. and besides, im never parked on a hill for more than 30 mins. and ive never had an e-brake go bad on me before.

 

Just wondering after reading the last post.....Don't all Honda's require you to push in the clutch in order to start the car?

 

I know mine does.

All I have is hill parking when at home.

At work we have a parking lot at least, which is flat.

 

i never park in gear,...my friend always parks in gear because he doesnt have a working Ebrake in his 87 accord,...one time he went to start his car to warm it up before we left,..i was standing on his porch,..he was at the car sitting halfway in the car (butt in seat,..feet on cement) and he turned the key ,..his car rolled up the curb,..into the neighbors yard (he lives in a cauldersack (sp?) ,..he finally got his feet into the car to apply the brake and he was sitting 3 feet away from his neighbors house,...his neighbor came out in her nightgown and hair curlers and she was going ape shit,..it was fawking priceless :lmfao:
