hmmm lemme think. there might be a setting so u can have both ring and vibrate, so make sure the ringtone is not on when u have the vibrate alert on. make sure u don't have holly's phone number stored twice.

CDMA is Code Division Multiple Access. its just the type of network Sprint have. TDMA = Timed Division Multiple Access ATT has them. TDMA chops the channel into sequential time slices. each user of the channel takes turns transmitting and receiving. only one person is actually using the channel at a given moment.
CDMA lets everyone transmit at the same time.
here's a good example
Imagine a room full of people, all trying to carry on one-on-one conversations. In TDMA each couple takes turns talking. They keep their turns short by saying only one sentence at a time. As there is never more than one person speaking in the room at any given moment, no one has to worry about being heard over the background din. In CDMA, each couple talk at the same time, but they all use a different language. Because none of the listeners understand any language other than that of the individual to whom they are listening, the background din doesn't cause any real problems.
GSM is a network used by cingular, t mobile and att.

supposidly u can carry over ur number now. but you will have to pay a fee every month. but thats less than a dollar a month

i would guess it won't work since the coverage area is inside the atmosphere and if you're in outer space, you're no longer in the coverage area
