Default Tested an s2 but concerned about previous owner

I just got back from testing a 00' s2000. Really low mileage and cost. It was a silver/red. Looked good, only 3-4 chips on the front.

The stock rear tires were finished and the car only had 33k km (25k miles). Previous owner replaced them with Kumhos. :happysad:

Also when I popped open the hood it was rusty near the shocks/springs. Seemed as if someone had a strut bar there or lowered the car before. The sales guy said it has all original parts but....

The car felt okay but I had this feeling the car was modified and raced before. Why else would someone sell the car with such low mileage?

Maybe it was a lease return or the person upraded to a newer model.

Not everyone is as in love or as impressed with the car as you are.

What do you think about the rust I saw? It was only around the suspension bits, like where you take out the shocks and replace them with coilovers. Sorry i'm not that technically descriptive. h:

I'm sure you can find another used S2K elsewhere. If you seriously have your doubts, and the salesman isn't giving you a straight answer, then take your business elsewhere...

The plastic window gets all fogged up and scratched and shit. Glass doesn't.

$$$, can't afford it.

I'm hoping to get a 00' s2 for 30-32k (CDN) then picking up my friend's hardtop and paint it for 3k. 35k is about my budget. Then if I can sell the Accord i'll only have to pay 5-6k for the s2. :happysad:
